Overview

Objective

In a group of 5 people we set out to create a 3D platformer for 3Museos in Mexico, so that visitors in the museum can learn about the Aztec gods, tributes

Explore 3Museos' collaborative 3D platformer, where you become an Aztec child gathering tributes for gods, using their powers to navigate levels and learn about the Aztec deities.

My contribution

I focused on the game design of the game, I designed a part of the 3D environment art and traps you see above, I implemented player feedback in the form of VFX to help guide the player, I worked on the Art Bible and Game Design Document.

Approach

What I learned

Focus when prototyping is important, frontloading work is always good practice, player feedback is key, scope and planning  are essential to making a game polished and make sure the whole team is on the same page.

A very good learning experience for working on a full project, getting to know the pipeline and other facets of game production while having a bit of a manager role.
